Whether you're managing everyday finances or planning for the future, Commonwealth Bank is proud to be a leader in personal banking services in The Bahamas.
In the wake of what has been declared The Bahamas’ worst natural disaster in recent history, Commonwealth Bank donated $150,000 to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), in fulfilment of its $250,000 pledge to assist with relief efforts associated with Hurricane Dorian.
“In times of tragedy Bahamians always come together; as one family and as brothers and sisters, no matter which island we come from. Not only do we all need to give financial help but we must also be aware of the emotional needs of the victims of Dorian. Each gesture can make a difference: an open heart, a listening ear or a shoulder to lean on. Most importantly we must let them know that they are not alone nor will they be left alone to resolve this displacement and loss”, said Raymond Winder, President of Commonwealth Bank.
Mr. Winder’s remarks came during a press conference at the NEMA headquarters, September 11; reaffirming Commonwealth Bank’s position as a first responder, in times crisis here in The Bahamas.
Commonwealth Bank recognizes and applauds the efforts of the Agency, to meet the immediate needs of individuals displaced by Hurricane Dorian; some of which are CB family members. Their untiring commitment to the people of The Bahamas is admirable and worthy of commendation.
