TEE OFF FOR HUNGER

14 January 2025

Commonwealth Bank proudly supported the Bahamas Feeding Network “Tee Off for Hunger” Golf Tournament held in December 2025, continuing its annual sponsorship of this important charitable initiative focused on addressing food insecurity across The Bahamas.

As part of its commitment to community, Commonwealth Bank sponsored two teams in the recent tournament, which brought together many of the nation’s finest golfers and showcased an exceptional level of competition, skill, and sportsmanship. Against this distinguished field, Commonwealth Bank is pleased to share that its team placed third overall, an outstanding achievement given the calibre and experience of the participants.

The Bank is especially proud of the accomplishment of its Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Sean Brathwaite, who represented Commonwealth Bank with distinction. His participation reflects a continued commitment to using sport as a platform for nation building, supporting initiatives that raise vital funds to strengthen communities and provide meaningful assistance to those who need it most.

Reflecting on the event, Mr. Brathwaite said, “At Commonwealth Bank, we believe that success is most meaningful when it is rooted in service. Supporting the Bahamas Feeding Network through Tee Off for Hunger allows us to bring together teamwork, discipline, and purpose in a way that has a real and lasting impact. I am proud to represent an institution that understands the importance of giving back and standing alongside organizations that uplift our nation.”

The Bahamas Feeding Network acknowledged the significance of the Bank’s longstanding partnership and commitment to the cause.  Nicolette Archer, Executive Director of the Bahamas Feeding Network stated, “Hunger is a challenge that touches every corner of our society, and it is only through committed partnerships that real change is possible. Commonwealth Bank’s ongoing support since 2013 reflects a genuine understanding that strong communities are built when institutions invest not only in progress, but in people. Their partnership helps us turn compassion into action, and hope into nourishment for those who need it most.”  The Tee Off for Hunger Golf Tournament serves as a critical fundraising initiative for the Bahamas Feeding Network, enabling the organization to continue providing nutritious meals to individuals and families in need throughout The Bahamas.
