Commonwealth Bank is pleased to announce its recent donation of $10,000 to the Bahamas Agricultural Development Organization. This contribution underscores Commonwealth Bank’s commitment to fostering sustainable agriculture and supporting local farmers. 

The Agricultural Development Organization (ADO) is a pivotal organization dedicated to advancing agriculture in The Bahamas. By providing essential resources, training, and guidance to farmers, ADO promotes and facilitates the growth of the agricultural sector, empowering farmers to enhance their practices and increase productivity. 

“We are proud to support the Agricultural Development Organization in their mission to improve food security in The Bahamas,” said Sean Brathwaite, SVP & COO at Commonwealth Bank. “Agriculture is a cornerstone of the Bahamian economy, and we believe that investing in its growth is key to ensuring a prosperous future for The Bahamas.” 

“Commonwealth Bank’s contribution will help ADO expand its programs and services, benefiting more farmers and communities across the nation. The proceeds will be aimed at supporting various initiatives, including distribution and management of backyard farming kits, the creation and management of community farms, and assistance with school Agricultural programs,” said Philip Smith, Executive Chairman at ADO. Mr. Smith expressed gratitude stating, “We extend our sincere thanks to Commonwealth Bank for their generous donation. This contribution will significantly enhance our efforts to support local farmers and promote agricultural sustainability throughout The Bahamas.”
