Less than three months after what has been called the most catastrophic weather event in recent history here in The Bahamas, Commonwealth Bank is, once again, taking the lead to restore full-service banking to the communities of Abaco island; with the opening of their new sub branch at Maxwell’s Supermarket in Marsh Harbour.
“Today, we pause to celebrate the official opening of our new sub-branch, here in Marsh Harbour; and are extremely proud to be the first financial institution to restore full-service banking to the communities of Abaco. While we at Commonwealth Bank, like you, our neighbours and colleagues here on the island, rebuild, we welcome you to enjoy the signature conveniences and one of a kind service that you have come to know and love, here in our temporary home. In that vein, I am elated to report that work has already begun to rebuild our Marsh Harbour branch; and we anticipate completion within the next 12 months”, Raymond L. Winder, President, Commonwealth Bank.
The new sub branch offers full deposit and credit services in a safe and comfortable environment. The Bank has maintained a presence on the island of Abaco since 1987.
